Abstract
We have recently completed a prototype agent which can communicate and collaborate with users in performing complex tasks. This agent can work with people on their email, based on our studies of people working with human assistants and Wizard-of-Oz studies. This agent is constructed using the applicating independent software, Collagen, jointly developed by Lotus and MERL--a Mitsubishi Electric Research Lab.
